Christmas Toy Making for Small Birds, Online & In-Person

This will be a hybrid in-person and online toy-making class. We will have a limited number of spots to take the class in our store, with the rest of the spots available to be done online. Bernie will have a dedicated microphone so she will be easy to hear either in person or online, and we will have multiple cameras that will be live switched as Bernie moves around to help those in person. Everyone online will be displayed on a TV in the store with video and audio so Bernie can clearly see and interact with everyone at home as they have questions and need help as well.

This class will focus on Small-Sized Birds, such as budgies, lovebirds, cockatiels, conures, and quakers, and be led by Bernie through Google Meet (more info on Google Meet below).  

IF YOU ARE TAKING THE CLASS IN PERSON:

Each ticket to the class will be $35. All toy parts and tools will be provided to you on the day of the class. We ask that if you are bringing any children with you that you limit it to one per ticket, and you MUST list that they're coming with the free children addon ticket. It's imperative that we know how many people are showing up in person for each class.

Masks are REQUIRED, covering both mouth and nose, during the entirety of the class for every attendee. Also, note that Bernie may not be wearing a mask as she's trying to speak to the people in store and online. You may show up as early as 30 minutes before the start of the class (however not all parts of the store will be accessible as employees will be cleaning and prepping certain sections of the store). The store will also be open for 1 hour after the class ends, and you will receive 20% off all toys and toy parts that you purchase. 

IF YOU ARE TAKING THE CLASS ONLINE:

Class is $35 per toy kit if you are picking the toy kit up in person, or $45 per toy kit if you are taking the class online and wish to have your toy kits shipped to you via UPS. 

This class only requires scissors and pliers. You will be provided them if you're taking the class in person. If you're taking the class online, you can use your own or the ones in the Toy Making Tool Kit we sell here in the store.

You will receive an email once the toy packets are completed and ready to be picked up or shipped. We will not have them ready before that time. Our aim is to get the packets done by Saturday, November 20th, but we will update you via email if that date changes. 

You will also be emailed a link an hour before the start of the class. If you do not receive an email notifying you that the toy part kits are done, or the reminder email the Friday before class, please contact us at general@sugarcreekbirdfarm.com so we can make sure you get the link for the class.

After the class, you'll receive a 20% off coupon for all toys and toy parts in our store good for up to one month from the class.

You can watch the class without being on camera or using a microphone, but it is highly recommended that you do, so that any questions can be addressed quickly and easily.

Google Meet is a professional video conferencing app that can be accessed on a PC, Mac, laptop, tablet, or phone.  The app only requires you to have a google account, which is free and can be done here if you do not already have one.  PC, Mac, and laptop users can access Google Meet by simply using your web browser at meet.Google.com. You will need to download the Google Meet app on an iPhone or iPad in the App Store, or the Google Play Store for an android device. The link to access the class on Google Meet will be sent out one hour before class starts.  Ensure the email you put in the registration form is one that you can check during that time. We also recommend you try out Google Meet beforehand if you can, and use this page to get your settings correct if you have never used video conferencing before.

Any changes or alterations to dates, class size, or procedures will be posted on our website and emailed as soon as we know anything has changed.
