This lecture will be fully online only via Google Meet. You can watch the class without being on camera or using a microphone, but it is highly recommended that you do so that any questions can be addressed quickly and easily.You will be emailed a link an hour before the start of the class with the email address you provided for us when buying your ticket.  If  you do not receive a reminder email the Friday before class, please contact us at general@sugarcreekbirdfarm.com so we can make sure you get the link for the class.
Google Meet is a professional video conferencing app that can be   accessed on a PC, Mac, laptop, tablet, or phone.  The app only requires you to have a Google account, which is free and can be done here if you do not already have one.  PC, Mac, and laptop users can access Google Meet by simply using your web browser at meet.Google.com. You will need to download the Google Meet app on an iPhone or iPad in the App Store, or the Google Play Store for an android device. The link to access the class on Google Meet will   be sent out one hour before class starts.  Ensure the email you put in   the registration form is one that you can check during that time. We   also recommend you try out Google Meet beforehand if you can, and use this page to get your settings correct if you have never used video conferencing before.
About the presenter: Cassie Malina has been training people and animals professionally worldwide for over 25 years.
After  graduating with High Distinction from the Pennsylvania State  University, Cassie joined the animal training team at Natural  Encounters, Inc. During her 22 years with NEI, she produced and  performed in free flight bird shows across the country. She performed in  free flight bird shows at Disney's Animal Kingdom since the park's  inception through April 2020. As the Director of Staff Development,  Cassie grew a community of animal trainers and caregivers. She has  instructed on the art and science of animal training at numerous  workshops, seminars, webinars and conferences across the country and  abroad. Cassie has consulted on animal programs across the US and abroad  as well. She has been coaching pet animal caregivers independently  since 2000 and was Parrot Kindergarten’s School Counselor for the first  two years of the program, beginning April 2021.

Cassie  maintains her CPBC certification from the International Association of  Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) since 2015 and her CPBT-KA  certification from the International Avian Trainers Certification Board  (IATCB) since 2013, and she completed Dr. Susan Friedman, Ph.D.'s Living  and Learning with Animals (LLA) Course. Cassie has been an active  member of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators  (IAATE) since 1998 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award for her 20  years of Executive Board service in 2020.
