"China Prairie Company has been around for 39 wonderful years! First  started by Fred Bauer in Northern California on his 81 acre  property in the middle of the Humboldt forest. He was a very well-known  aviculturist/breeder of many species of parrots, but  particularly Eclectus parrots. He co-wrote one of the first in-depth  books on the species titled "The Complete Guide to Eclectus Parrots"  along with authors K. Wayne Arthur, and Laurella Desborough.
